This project is funded by the State of Connecticut and will cost $2.45 million.
The project will replace the 6 ft. x 8 ft. culvert carrying the East Branch of the Mianus River under Route 104 (Long Ridge) with a 26 foot wide concrete 3 sided frame. The culvert is located near Riverbank Road and Old Long Ridge Road.
The purpose of this project is to update the culvert and bring it in line with 100 year storm design standards.
This project is now completed.
Long Ridge Rd will be closed to through traffic between Erskine Rd from the north and Old Long Ridge Rd from the south for approximately 4 weeks this summer, sometime between July 24th and August 21th.
Please plan ahead and seek alternate routes during this period
Occasional off-peak alternating one-way traffic should be expected on this section of Long Ridge Road before and after the reopening of the road. This will be necessary to complete ancillary work such as utility relocations, final paving and landscaping.
Work will take place up to 16 hours per day, 7 days a week.
There will be no significant impact on the CTtransit bus services.
