What Is The Next Step After I Submit My Application Materials?

The City has a civil service system which requires that candidates be tested in order to be considered for employment. In some instances, for example, candidates are required to sit for a written test, and in others, candidates are scored based on materials submitted as part of the supplemental application process.

If an application is not accepted you will be notified. This will happen if incomplete applications are sent or if minimum qualifications are not met.

Otherwise, applicants meeting the stated minimum qualifications for the position will be notified of the date, time and location of the examination, if applicable.
