Women Veterans Invited to Participate in Photo Campaign by the VA Center for Women Veterans

Women veterans are invited to participate in the “I Am Not Invisible” photo campaign sponsored by the VA Center for Women Veterans on Friday, Oct. 18 from 9am-1pm at the VA Connecticut Healthcare System Newington campus, 555 Willard Avenue, Bldg. 1, 4th floor conference room. The project is open to women from all branches and eras. Participation takes less than 15-minutes. No appointment necessary. Participants must sign a consent form. Women veterans may wear whatever you wish to include your old uniform. Participants are encouraged to bring or take a photo of yourself from your time in the service.

There are more than 2 million women veterans, making up over 10 percent of the veteran population and growing. In support of Women’s History Month 2020, this virtual IANI exhibit celebrates and honors these veterans who continue to serve their country and communities.

Photos will be submitted for inclusion in the VA Center for Women Veterans Connecticut gallery available for viewing on Facebook.  Photos will also be taken on Friday, Oct. 25 at the West Haven campus, 950 Campbell Avenue, from 9am-1pm in the Donaldson Education Center, Room B, Bldg. 2, 2nd floor.
