STAMFORD, Conn. — Mayor David Martin announced today the City has reached an agreement with the Stamford Municipal Nurses Association (SMNA). This agreement includes a no layoff clause, as well as no salary increase for fiscal year 2019-2020, and a reopener on salaries for fiscal year 2020-2021. All previously laid off workers from this union will be rehired. SMNA represents 38 employees.
“I’m very happy the SMNA ratified an agreement that avoids layoffs and does not impact services to our residents,” said Mayor David Martin. “We continue to negotiate with other unions to reach agreements that do not impact our workers’ employment or our city’s services.”
