What is Stamford Citizen Services Corp. (SCSC)
The Stamford Citizen Services Corp consists of medical and non-medical volunteers who have volunteered to respond to local emergencies and other events as needed. The Mission is to serve the people of Stamford by supporting the local emergency service and public health  agencies in disaster, crisis and emergency response, and by promoting safety education, emergency and disaster preparedness. Members of the SCSC have the opportunity to become joint CERT and MRC Volunteers who are included in the City’s emergency response resources and will participate in a variety of activities including:

  • Emergency preparedness response
  • Emergency sheltering
  • Responder Rehab
  • Disaster medical Support
  • Disaster Risk Reduction
  • Medical Facility Surge Capacity
  • First Aid During Large Public gatherings
  • Planning, Logistical, & Administrative Support
  • Veterinary Support and Pet Preparedness
  • Health Screenings
  • Obesity Reduction
  • Vaccination Clinics
  • Outreach to Underserved Community members
  • Heart Health
  • Tobacco Cessation Community Evet Support
  • Health Living
  • Health Education and Promotion
