Programs may be private for-profit centers or non-profit centers, in public schools or a part of Head Start. Interested programs should either be currently accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) or able to earn accreditation within three years from their date of funding.

The programs awarded Early Start CT funds agree to participate in professional development opportunities for their staff, comply with monthly reporting activities, and have their programs evaluated bi-annually by the Early Childhood Coordinator/LGP Liaison.  Program providers are also invited to attend Stamford Community Table meetings as well as participate regularly in the local early childhood and kindergarten transition activities and events.

Participating providers in the Early Start CT program are supported by the Early Childhood Coordinator/LGP Liaison and the Community Table. For more information on how to apply for Early Start CT funding, please contact D'Naysha Brown.
