Ice Skating Lessons

Learn to Skate USA Endorsed Program

Our Group Lesson Program is Learn to Skate USA, endorsed by the U.S. Figure Skating and USA Hockey. Our program follows the curriculum and guidelines of Learn to Skate USA.

Weekly Session Timing & Requirements

Lesson Duration & Schedule

Skating Lessons are 25 minutes, with an optional practice time of 25 minutes before/after lesson.

We also have public skating available on Saturdays and Sundays and School Vacations.

Parent & Ice Procedures

Children are not to be left in the Rink without their parent or guardian present.

Parents are not allowed on the ice at any time and must watch from the lobby or bleacher seating.

Many of our assistants are volunteers and are learning to teach classes and are also here to assist Skating Instructors. Our skating instructors are all certified instructors of Learn to Skate USA.

What to Wear

Helmet & Mittens: Skaters ages 3-7 are required to wear a bicycle helmet and gloves/mittens when learning to skate. All children are urged to wear a helmet.

Clothing: Please wear a warm jacket; skaters should wear warm clothing that is easy to move in and not restrictive.

Skates: It is recommended that levels Basic 3 and above purchase skates. Skate rentals are used and reused by many different public session skaters and are difficult to maintain.
