Goals

The proposed redesign of the Train Station and adjacent public right-of-way under this project will improve access to transit; thereby, increasing transit ridership while simultaneously improving quality of life within the neighborhood. Improved walkability of the Train Station area not only increases neighborhood connectivity; but also increases opportunities for economic development through the appropriation of land use for vibrant, mixed use development, centralized around our local transit systems. The planned improvements will culminate in safer City streets for pedestrians, cyclists and drivers alike.

Examples of the types of improvements include, but are not limited to:

Improved Pedestrian Circulation within the Train Station;
Improved Pedestrian Crossings (Reduced Pedestrians Crossing Distances) at Hope Street and
Clearview Avenue in Addition to Adjacent Intersections;
High-Visibility Pedestrian Crossings;
New and/or Expanded Sidewalks;
Pedestrian Level Streets Lights and Improved Streetscape with New Street Trees;
Improved Kiss & Ride (Pick-up/Drop-off) Area at the Train Station;
