About Operations

The Director of Operations is the head of the Office and is responsible for the administration, supervision and performance of all municipal functions related to, but not necessarily limited to, public works, traffic, parks and recreation, planning, zoning and environmental protection.

The Office of Operations deals with public works functions such as the planning and development of Stamford, solid waste collection and disposal, management of City vehicles and municipal buildings, management of the sewer system and sewage treatment.
