Mayor Simmons announced her transition on November 10, 2021 and since then there have been committees made up of experts, advocates, practitioners, and residents that have been listening to the public and compiling options for the new administration to consider. The transition solicited input from the public through an online survey and a virtual town hall to allow residents to offer ideas and ask questions of transition leaders.

Mayor Simmons looks forward to working with her administration, the Board of Representatives, Board of Finance, Board of Education, and other key city leaders on these critical issues.
