Adopted on September 30, 2025, the Stamford 2035 Comprehensive Plan is a once-in-a-decade assessment of the city’s current conditions, answering critical questions about its future and establishing a strategic framework for achieving Stamford’s 2035 goals as defined by its residents and local government. Informed by land use best practices and shaped through robust community and stakeholder input, Stamford 2035 serves as a North Star for Stamford’s preservation and development through 2035, as guided by a series of goals and action items. In accordance with state statute CGS Section 8-23, the City of Stamford is required to update its Comprehensive Plan (formerly Master Plan) every 10 years.
