Your City at Work: From the Mayor’s Desk

Thank you to Stamford’s snow crews for their work during last weekend’s blizzard and throughout this challenging winter season. I also want to thank our residents and local businesses for stepping up to support one another during this period of heavy snowfall. From checking in on neighbors to helping keep walkways clear, your efforts have helped ensure that our City’s residents are able to stay most warm and safe. – Mayor Caroline Simmons

MAYOR’S UPDATES

  • Hey Stamford: I joined P.J. Kennedy on the “Hey Stamford” podcast last week to talk about the work ahead for our city. We discussed how we are continuing to grow Stamford responsibly, expand housing affordability, support small businesses, invest in infrastructure, and build on the progress of my first term. You can watch the interview here.
  • Department of Health Accreditation: I am excited to announce that the City’s Department of Health has been awarded national recognition through the Public Health Accreditation Board (PHAB). The national accreditation program sets standards that emphasize Foundational Capabilities and are aligned with the 10 Essential Public Health Services. Thank you to our Director of Health, Jody Bishop Pullen, and the entire Health Department for their work on this and congratulations!
