Your City at Work: From the Mayor’s Desk

Read below to learn more about initiatives my administration is working on, resources for Stamford residents, information about upcoming events, and important city and state information.

MAYOR’S UPDATES

  • Stamford’s AAA Rating: S&P Global Ratings has reaffirmed Stamford’s AAA bond rating, which is the highest possible rating. As the only city in Connecticut to retain this rating, this recognition underscores Stamford’s strong fiscal management, disciplined budgeting, and resilient local economy. It also delivers savings for residents by lowering borrowing costs for critical infrastructure projects, such as schools, road and sidewalk repair, and park improvements.
  • Cove Marina: This week, I joined in celebrating the completion of the Cove Island Marina renovations, which include dredging, new pilings, and upgraded dock slips as part of a major investment in Stamford’s waterfront. Utility upgrades will be completed this fall, with sea wall repairs planned for next year, and I am grateful to our city team and the Stamford Harbor Management Commission for ensuring our harbor remains a treasured community resource.
