Your City at Work: From the Mayor’s Desk

Read below to learn more about initiatives my administration is working on, resources for Stamford residents, information about upcoming events, and important city and state information.

MAYOR’S UPDATES

  • City Managers Meeting: Every quarter, I sit down with all our City Managers to ensure alignment on our administration’s core priorities: strengthening infrastructure, expanding economic opportunity, and making government more responsive to the needs of our residents. These meetings are essential to tracking progress, addressing challenges, and improving city operations. I’m grateful to our city managers and employees who work hard every day to keep Stamford moving forward.

  • Mayor’s Community Micro Grant Ceremony: Last week, we proudly celebrated this year’s Community Microgrant recipients. A total of $77,250 was awarded to 35 community initiatives and organizations, supporting neighborhood projects, beautification efforts, and educational programs. This funding empowers residents to bring their ideas to life and build stronger community connections.

  • Scalzi Bocce Courts: I was excited to join city officials and members of the Stamford Bocce League to celebrate the completion of eight newly renovated bocce courts at Scalzi Park. Our parks are some of Stamford’s most valuable assets, and investments like this help ensure they remain active, welcoming spaces for recreation and community connection.
