Read below to learn more about initiatives my administration is working on, resources for Stamford residents, information about upcoming events, and important city and state information.

MAYOR’S UPDATES

  • Small Business Openings: This week, I was thrilled to celebrate the openings of two new businesses in our great city! Congratulations to Durango Insurance Agency and the Wine Room on celebrating your grand openings. Your achievements add to the vitality and economic growth of our community, and we are delighted you have chosen Stamford as the home for your businesses.

  • Increased State Educational Funding Advocacy: I joined Mayors from Connecticut’s five largest cities, and each of the superintendents, to call for increased state education funding for our school districts. Investing in education is both a moral responsibility and an economic necessity. Every student deserves access to the resources and support they need to thrive. This is part of our ongoing commitment to ensuring Stamford’s students are equipped for a successful future.

  • Smoke Shop Raids: I joined Attorney General William Tong, the Stamford Police Department, and Commissioners from the Departments of Consumer Protection and Emergency Services and Public Protection to announce the results of a successful operation conducted on December 19, 2024, that resulted in the seizure of over 4,280 unregulated and illegal cannabis products. I remain committed to working closely with local and state partners to ensure the safety and well-being of our community. Read more here
