Mayor Caroline Simmons’ Statement Regarding Hateful Rhetoric Against Haitians:

Words matter and hateful rhetoric has real consequences. Our city’s diversity is one of our strengths and our Haitian community is a great source of pride. Here in Stamford, we stand united against hate and discrimination, and will always work to ensure that every member of our community is treated with dignity and respect.

  • Connecticut Gun Buyback Program: The Stamford Police Department is holding a gun buyback program on October 5th from 10:00am – 1:00pm at 725 Bedford Street. This initiative aims to reduce the number of unwanted firearms in our community, offering residents a safe and anonymous way to turn in firearms. I encourage everyone to spread the word and take advantage of this important opportunity in order to make Stamford a safer place for all.
