From the Mayor's Office

  • The Stamford Winter Restaurant Week concludes on Sunday, March 6th. Twenty-nine restaurants are participating this year, more info and menus can be found here.
  • The City of Stamford and Stamford Public Schools are hosting are series of forums to address the current and future needs of our school campuses and facilities. More information can be found here
  • Stamford High will host a pop-up vaccination clinic on Sunday, March 6th from 12:00 pm – 6:00 pm for ages 12+. More information can be found here
  • Beginning next week, US households can order an additional set of free at home COVID-19 test kits. Orders can be placed here

 

COVID-19 Updates

  • Case Numbers
    • Follow the City of Stamford’s Covid-19 Dashboard, which provides the latest up-to-date information on COVID-19 cases and vaccination rates in the City.
  • Vaccination
  • Friday, March 4th, 2022: The vaccination sites at Scalzi Park and Cummings Beach will be open from 8:30 am – 3:30 pm, the Hunt Park site (ages 12+) will be open from 10:00am -4:00 pm, and the Henry Street vaccination clinic is open from 8:30 am – 3:30 pm.
  • Saturday, March 5th, 2022: The vaccination site at Hunt Park will be open from 10:00 am – 4:00 pm. The vaccination sites at Scalzi Park and Cummings Beach will be open from 8:30 am - 3:30 pm. The Westover School vaccination site will be open from 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm. The Henry Street vaccination site will be open from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm.
  • Sunday, March 6th, 2022: The vaccination sites at Scalzi Park and Cummings Beach will be open from 8:30 am – 3:30 pm, the Hunt Park site will be open from 10:00 am - 4:00 pm. The Stamford High pop-up vaccination clinic (ages 12+) is open from 12:00 pm – 5:00pm

Next week, 3/7– 3/11 vaccines are available at the following locations free without an appointment:

  • All Ages
    • 137 Henry Street Clinic: Monday & Thursday 8:30 am – 7:00 pm
    • 137 Henry Street Clinic: Tuesday & Wednesday 8:30 am – 3:30 pm
    • Scalzi Park: Monday – Thursday 8:30 am - 3:30 pm
    • Cummings Park: Monday – Thursday 8:30 am - 3:30 pm
  • Ages 12 and up only
    • Hunt Park: Monday-Thursday: 10:00 am – 4:00 pm
    • Stamford Train Station: Tuesday & Thursday 12:00 pm – 6:00 pm
  • 1st and 2nd doses are available to all, as well as booster shots for ages 12+ (Pfizer) and 18+ (Moderna/J&J) at all walk up vaccination clinics. Visit our website for more information on free pop-up locations around town.

     

  • Covid-19 Testing Sites

     

    • St. Mary’s Church (566 Elm St) testing site will be open at the following times.
      • Monday – Friday 2:00 pm – 7:00 pm
      • Saturday & Sunday 10:00 am – 3:00 pm

         

    • Accu Reference (689 Canal St) testing site will be open at the following times.
      • Monday - Friday: 8:00 am - 7:00 pm
      • Saturday & Sunday: 9:00 am – 3:00 pm
  • More information on COVID-19 vaccines and testing in Stamford are available here.

     

  • Other Resources
    • If you are unable to leave your home or are uncomfortable traveling to a vaccine site, the Stamford Department of Health will bring the vaccine to you.
  • All information about Stamford's response to COVID-19 can be found on our website at www.stamfordct.gov/covid19.
  • Please visit the State of Connecticut's Vaccine Portal for information on how to request a new copy of your card.

 

City Services

  •  Residential Garbage and Recycling collection will operate on regular schedule on Friday
  • The Take it Or Leave it Shop will reopen on Tuesday, March 15, and the Book Swap Shop will reopen on March 18th

  • Please join Stamford Veterans Park Partnership on Sunday, March 13th at 12:30 PM in Veterans Memorial Park to recognize National K-9 Veterans Day. Contact For more information contact Colleen Harkey at harkeyvppartnership@gmail.com.
