From the Mayor's Office

The City of Stamford received notice from Governor Lamont’s office late last night that the expected supply of at-home COVID-19 test kits being provided by the state to Stamford has not yet arrived in Connecticut. This delay is due to warehouse and shipping delays outside of the state's control and amid unprecedented international demand for tests.

Mayor Simmons announced earlier this week that city will distribute approximately 17,000 Covid-19 at-home rapid test kids and masks to Stamford residents.
Upon confirmation from the Governor’s office that the test kits are in Connecticut, the City will advise residents of the new distribution plan. Information will be posted on the City website and shared on the City’s social media channels.

Covid-19 Testing Sites

Cove Island testing site will be open next week at the following times.

- Sat & Sun 10 - 3

Demand has been high at this site which has resulted in temporary pauses throughout the day. Before going, please check the City's social media accounts or visit our website to make sure the site is currently open.

If you are unable to leave your home or are uncomfortable traveling to a vaccine site, the Stamford Department of Health will bring the vaccine to you.
