COVID-19 Updates

Case Numbers

City of Stamford has a brand new Covid-19 Dashboard that provides the latest up to date information on Covid cases and vaccination statuses in the City.

Next week, 1/2 – 1/9, vaccines are available at the following locations free without an appointment: 

All Ages

  • 137 Henry St. Mon - Thur 8:30 – 7, Fri 8:30 – 3:30
  • Scalzi Park. Sun  10 – 4
  • Cummings Beach. Sat & Sun 10 – 4
  • Hunt Park. Sat & Sun 10 - 4
  • Inspirica. Wed 5 – 8

Ages 5-11 only

  • 137 Henry Street Clinic (2nd Floor). Mon & Thur 1 p.m. - 7 p.m.

Ages 12 and up only

  • Scalzi Park. Mon 10 – 2, Tue – Fri & Sun 10 - 4
  • Cummings Beach. Mon 10 - 2 Tue - Fri 10 – 4
  • Hunt Park. Mon 10 – 2 Tue– Fri 10 - 4
  • Stamford Train Station. Tue & Thur 12– 6

1st and 2nd doses for ages 12+ as well as booster shots for ages 16+ are available at all ages 12 and up walk up vaccination clinics. Visit our website for more information on free pop up locations around town.

Covid-19 Testing Sites

  • Cove Island testing site will be open next week at the following times.
    • Mon – Fri 2 - 7
    • Sat & Sun 10 - 3

Demand has been high at this site which has resulted in temporary pauses throughout the day. Before going, please check the City's social media accounts or visit our website to make sure the site is currently open.

Other resources

  • If you are unable to leave your home or are uncomfortable traveling to a vaccine site, the Stamford Department of Health will bring the vaccine to you.  
  • All information about Stamford's response to COVID-19 can be found on our website at www.stamfordct.gov/covid19.
  • Please visit the State of Connecticut's Vaccine Portal for information on how to request a new copy of your card. 

City Services

  • Residential Garbage and Recycling collection will operate on regular schedule on Friday. Click here to view the full New Year’s hours.
  • Take it Or Leave it Shop and the Book Swap Shop will remain closed for pickup and donations until further notice. Please stay safe on the roads this holiday season.

Community

  • Stamford’s Holiday Stroll, a walk-through experience featuring 60+ holiday displays, thousands of lights, Santa, and tons of holiday cheer will continue to take place in Mill River Park until January 9.
  • Residents and visitors are able to view upcoming Stamford Downtown events here.
  • Residents and visitors are able to view upcoming Stamford concerts, in-person, and virtual events here.
