Washington Blvd and Main Street Intersection Safety Project

The Transportation, Traffic & Parking Department invites interested members of the public to an in-person public meeting to discuss the Washington Blvd and Main Street Intersection Safety Project. This project will rebuild the intersection of Washington Blvd and Main Street to enhance safety and traffic operations. Improvements include: a raised intersection, sidewalk bump outs, a new traffic signal, travel lane reconfiguration, new sidewalks, bioswales, and other improvements.  The project construction is funded by the Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) Local Transportation Capital Improvement Program (LOTCIP). The project design is funded by the City of Stamford. The project is currently at the 30% design level.  Interested members of the community are welcome to attend to learn more about the project and ask questions to the project team. The in person meeting will be at 6:00pm on Wednesday, December 3, 2025 at 888 Washington Blvd, Stamford, CT, 06901 in the 6th Floor Training Room.
