Immunization Clinic

The Stamford Health Department's Immunization Action Program (IAP) works with physician offices to ensure that all area children are being immunized according to schedule. The IAP coordinator can help parents find a provider for their child (if they don’t have one) or refer them as needed.

In addition to providing immunization services, the IAP coordinator acts as the State’s representative for the Connecticut Immunization Registry Tracking System (CIRTS) - a State computer program that requires physicians to report all childhood vaccines.

The Stamford Health Department participates in the Vaccine for Children (VFC) Program through the Connecticut State Department of Public Health. The VFC Program offers vaccines at no cost for eligible children.
